School Workshops

  • Do you want to have a Children's University at your education institution?
  • Are you planning an intercultural day with applied workshops?
  • Are you thinking about a learning festival?
  • Do you want to organize a language or culture simulation game?

Our topics cover language and cultural aspects in a format suitable for primary or secondary school students and can be tailored to the interests and expectations of your school or target group. Students can learn more about:

  • "It's not always ABC" – Writing around the world
  • "Why time may run differently" – A journey through other cultures
  • "Can you understand me?" – Why do we speak different languages?
  • "From furnitures to trouser" – English as a world language
  • Discovering and exploring languages – with Awakening to Languages and Intercomprehension
  • Marketing around the world
  • Globalization and sustainability

Also part of our program: Introductions to languages for elementary school students, intercultural country profiles, holidays and celebrations, heritage languages

We offer a diverse program of events for students of all grades and levels on-site at your school, for example as Children's University, compact, extended or day workshops, simulation games and case studies:

  • Children's University: Our popular Children's University is a 60- or 90-minute event for one or two school classes (or for a whole grade as repeated event). In an interactive and individual format we present language and culture topics that inspire students in a playful way. In our hands-on workshops students take center stage – they draw cuneiform letters in clay or paint Chinese letters in ink, learn how to count in Chinese, design intercultural marketing campaigns, or discover Arabic, Japanese or Russian words.
  • Workshops: We are offering various formats for our topics: a compact two- to four-hour workshop or a day event for a school class, a learning and activity station, or a series of short presentations with integrated activities. For senior classes we offer workshops on advanced business topics, intercultural marketing, or English as world language
  • Simulation games and case studies: For advanced students and senior classes we offer a selection of case studies. Participants can work on a specific real-world problem from a business setting, explore solutions, and implement them, for example on English as a world language, marketing around the world, environment and globalization, or sustainable business.
